Running the Chiltern Way - 134 miles in 40hrs

On friday 2nd March, I am going to run 134 miles around the origional Chiltern Way, hoping to beat the existing record of 4 days by completing it in under 40hrs, I will be starting Friday afternoon from The Red Lion pub in Coleshill, north of Beconsfield and will be finishing in the same place sometime Saturday night or Sunday morning. Fellow Marines have agreed to put in check points along the route, and public support will be appreciated. I'm thinking about trying to find 10 people who want to run a half-marathon (13.1miles) to run with so that I'll have someone to talk to on my way around. Plymouth Bike Nights will return again in 2012 on the below dates on the first Thursday evening during the summer months at 6pm on: 5th April, 3rd May, 7th June, 5th May, 2nd August, 6th September and 4th October '12. For 2012 there will be new charity biker event in the lounge and main hall of the Plymouth Guildhall on the evening of Saturday 3rd November 2012, with no dress restrictions or fancy food, but you can expect some top live bands, disco, raffle, fast food and a bar.

Tony Hall and Jordan West from Stockwood in Bristol are cycling from Bristol to Lands End and back in aid of Afghan Heroes, Tony will start from Millenium Square and cover: Day 1 Portway M5 Bridge, Portishead, Clevedon, Weston-super-Mare, Brean, Bridgewater, Watchet, Chapel Cleeve and will stop over in Minehead. Day 2 Portlock (Toll road out) Lynmouth, Combe Martin, Water Mouth, Ilfracombe. Day 3 Woolacombe, Croyde, Braunton, Barstable, Bideford, Clovelly. Day 4 Bude, Camelford, Wadebridge, Padstow. 52 Mile Motorbike Run 2012 and Party on the Pitch

52 Mile Motorbike run on the 28th April 2012. Starting at 2pm from Madeley High School, Newcastle Road, Madeley, Crewe, CW3 9JJ. £5.00 per person to participate in the run, or £7.00 to add a wristband or £22.00 to add a wristband and a t-shirt. The run follows good biking roads with a pub and petrol stop on route. Camping is also available but needs to be booked. Party on the Pitch from 1pm including various stalls, children's rides and community displays for all the family. Refreshments and food available. Lands End to John O Groats

The UK from one end to the other

Shaun Petts, John Coultan & Stephen Stuckey are going to cycle from Lands End to John O Groats (Apparently its easier that way as you get a following wind!!) The plan is to drive down to Lands end on the 9th and cycle up to Hayle and stop overnight, then continue to on the following day with stops at Okehampton, Bristol, Shrewsbury, Preston, Carlisle, Cumbernauld, Kingussi and Brora. The last day will be about 60miles to John O Groats, stopping overnight at Wick before driving home on the 19th. Hi All Ive always been interested in joining the Army and have so much respect for our Armed Forces that i thought its about time to give something back. I work with a lady who lost her son a few years back in Afghanistan and She started the charity Afghan Heroes. Although i never knew Jay i have known Jane for many years and her commitment to the charity is amazing and i would like to run this event for her and Jay. So for repsect for our boys out there i intend to run in the Half Marathon in full Army kit and Bergen, its going to be a hard task but the more i raise the better. For the guys who Airsoft and Paintball regulary and enjoy the hobby please donate for the guys who do it for real So for you guys and girls who wish to support our Armed Services please donate as it will go a long way.
